Fan not working

   Just to let you guys know about last problem 
Fans not coming on when reaching 90d 
So did testing relay ok 
Fans work when bypassed 
Fault code outward radiator sensor 
Replaced same fault 
Realised not all hoses getting hot incl gearbox cooler 
Hence why sensor not registering 
So diceded to change pump 
Brought tool of eBay happily went about changing 
Until tryed to pull pump out and thread on bolt striped 
Spent days try to get out by drilling to no avail 
So thought I'll try to buy tool from vw 
Guess what first it was only £38 
Thread is m12/1.25 . The one from eBay was m12/1.75 
Brought correct die 
Came home last night retreaded pump bolt 
Put vw tool on 15 mins from starting pump out 
Moral of story check with vw first before you buy from eBay 
Just lost 3 weeks plus ear bending from wife

	I hate to put you in line for any more ear bashing Mike but if the engine is not reaching temperature it will be the thermostat not the pump.

	It's ok guys Maybe didn't make it clear engine reached temp Fans wouldn't kick in Fault code temp sensor I chanced thermostat as matter of course Will post pic of failed water pump when home later All is fine with t5 now 👍
