i have just bought t5 2006 cant get no heat from the heater. any ideas

First question: Is the engine coolant getting hot (ie normal operating temp)  ?  If it isn't (eg thermostat stuck wide open) then there is no heat for the heater to use.

Second & Third questions:  Is the fan blowing air ?  And if so, to where ?

i have now sorted it. took the heater switch unit out, there is a disk at the back which a clip sits in this had cracked so the clip keeps popping out, so when you turn the heater temp knob it was actually doing nothing.

The T5 hvac controls are sometimes a bit dodgy, particularly the rotary control for where the air is to go.  IIRC on the later ones they improved it a (little) bit.
