I recently had the tappets set and IP timing adjusted on my Atlantic JX and, whilst it now seems to perform a bit better than it did, I had a problem with the vibration on idle.

The idle speed was pretty low (probably about 500rpm) so I adjusted the idle screw a 2 or 3 notches (clockwise) to speed the engine up a little.  All fine (much less vibration) except that I then wanted to lower the speed again as it was a little bit fast.

Blow me if the screw assembly didn't come apart with the screw head (and spring) unscrewing itself from the adjuster shaft.

I managed to screw the head back on and could turn clockwise to increase the speed if I wanted (I don't) but, if I try and turn anti-clockwise, it comes apart again.

Any suggestions?
