Hi.
I just - as in the day before new year´s - bought a 1980 LT31 high roof camper. It seems to be some german conversion, though not a Westfalia. The general lay-out is similar to that of the Sven Hedin models but they all seem to be built on LT28s. That means that the rear seating consists of to wooden benches, facing each other, which can be folded into a bed.

Anyway, to the point; We are a family of four, with a five year old and an eight year old, so I'm going to need to find a solution to mount seat belts for the rear seats. Either by just adding seat belts to the existing lay-out or by installing a new set of seats. Still, I´m going to need to have seating in the back for at least two, preferably four, and the ability to turn the seats in to a bed.

Any good advice?

Oh, and if anybody knows: Can i get a new window seal for the windscreen. If so, where? I tried Google but it seemed like somewhat of a jungle.

Thank you very much in advance.

I am sure the time will come when all seats in older vehicles will need to have seatbelts.

Regarding the seal, you may have better luck with the part number, 281845121. There is certainly a seller on ebay.co.uk who pops up regularly with the seal.

All part numbers are here, http://www.oemepc.com/  and how to find out if new parts are still available from VW, http://vwlt.co.uk/wiki/vw-lt-mk-1-buyers-guide-1975-1996/#buying-spares

Welcome by the way. HandshakeBeer
