Can anyone tell me where the crank sensor is located on my lt 35 2.8 AUH engine ?

Not my engine but this might help from the manual
sensor is at location 1 rear of the engine. Also Checking components and functions Checking the Engine Speed Sender The engine speed sender is the speed and reference mark sender. The engine stops in the case of a failure. Special tools, workshop equipment, test and measuring equipment and accessories required ? Testing box V.A.G 1598/30 ? Hand-held multimeter V.A.G 1526 or Multimeter V.A.G 1715 ? Measuring aids set V.A.G 1594 ? Current flow diagram Testing Procedure ? Switch the ignition off. ? Separate the connector for the engine speed sender. =>Overview of installation locations, page 23-5. ? ? Measure the resistance between contacts 2+3 of the connector. Setpoint value: approx. 1 k? If the setpoint value is not reached: ? Replace the engine speedsensor (G28). => Repair Group 13; Dismantling and assembling engine If the setpoint value is reached: ? ? Connect the testing box V.A.G 1598/30 to the control unit wiring loom. The engine control unit is not connected in the process. ? ? Check wires between test box and 3-pin connector for breaks using current flow diagram. Contact 1+socket 1/04 Contact 2+socket 3/31 Contact 3+socket 3/06 Cable resistance: max. 1.5? ? Check for short-circuits among the cables at the 3-pin connector in accordance with the current flow diagram. Setpoint value: 8? If not fault in the cables is discovered: ? Replace the control unit for diesel direct injection system (J248) => page 23-61. |
