We bought this mint condition completely original mk4 v5 golf with approx 54k on the clock about 2 years ago. I wanted something fast and reliable after the T3 (!)
It's now got 73k miles on the clock. It's got every single piece of paper work since new. It was an ex-demonstrator. We have 2 keys and plastic key thing. Manual, & quick reference guide. Touch up paint. Full VW dealer history with all the stamps in the book all up until the last service which was done in Dec 2014 and at a reputable german car specialist (& bosch service centre) Peter James in Dagenham. In our ownership the car has had: New rear pads & discs (at VW) New battery (bosche 4 year guaranteed) New Alternator (genuine VW) New dual radiator fans (it's common for the slow speed function of the fans to fail - due to internal resistor burn out) replaced with a non vw part from Germany - guaranteed for 3 years, inc. labour. Brake Fluid Change Coolant Change New wishbone bushes (powerflex) Air Con re-gassed / serviced (at VW) new rear tyres (continental) receipts for all the above. The car is still in great condition. Paint and the interior are great. The engine is wonderful and gives lovely performance through all the gears. Sounds lovely too when you give it some welly. Gear change is nice and smooth, no noise or issues whatsoever. Clutch bites and operates well. It's a joy to drive and is very smooth. Climate control and 6 CD changer in boot. Radio / CD working well. Rain sensitive wipers (bosch) Despite what you might think. It's not that thirsty and if you're careful you can achieve 30mpg (mixed driving conditions) and 35 plus on a good motorway run if you stick to the speed limit. Suspension is original and performs well, no known issues. This is the later 20V 170bhp version. - 5 doors - VW Montreal Alloys - Genuine VW Roof Bars This car is low mileage and still has loads of life left in it as it's been really well cared for. MOT with no advisories runs until may next year. The Car is HPI clear - we have the certificate to prove. It had a change of number plate to a personalised plate by the previous owner, but he kept the plate , so he re-registered it back to it's original plate before he sold it to us. This is all on the V5 and on the HPI cert. Great touring car. Car will be available from late Nov / early Dec. We're looking for £2,500 OVNO Located in East London Will post pictures soon. Thanks for looking! Pash 07730 986615

This car is for sale again. It's currently got just under 80k on the clock.
The replacement fans failed early this spring , so I had the original fans put back in and then had them modified professionally - fitting external resistors - they now work perfectly again. The mod is detailed here: http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/224371-mk4-golfbora-radiator-fan-fix/ The car is still in great condition , not quite as mint as it was but still in the very good- excellent catergory imo. Still loads of life left in this car , could even be a low mileage donor for a 170bhp T3 (!) but should stay as it is IMO - not many mark IVs left on this condition and with low mileage. Looking for £1750 ovno for a quick sale. Located in Epsom Surrey.
