Hi all,so...as above,800 up hill and into the wind at 50/55 mph ,any ideas how to lower it?
It was the same with the "jx" engine..(now a "sb" engine)

VW would just put a resistor in line with the gauge so when you look and check the temp it would match your testing.   Other than that turn down the fun screw on the injection pump. Assuming stuff like timing is all good

..though if it's an SB code, it *should* already have one. They can be a bit ineffective though if not done right.

Thanks all,i'm using the jx pump [as the sb pump didn't work properly].
The jx pump still has the collar on the max fuel screw,so I'm a bit surprised at the high egt..
Andy any ideas where to fit the sb intercooler?
