Got a VW T3 Westfalia and need a driveaway awning I can put up myself whilst the wife looks out for the kids.  I've narrowed it down to:

Khyam motordome sleep or the Vango Airbeam Kela or Sapera.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Cheers
Matt

Hi Matt,

I have a Isabella drive away awning going begging. yep its free if you want to come and get it.
Its a metal tube and plastic type canvas job. Totally waterproof.
Used on our T3 over most of U.K.
Its about as wide as the bus again but shorter in length.
Not in mint condition, been in garden shed for over a year now, but I can give it a once over if you're interested, was fine 2 years ago.
It has a gamy zipper on right door as you leave the bus but other two are fine, also rear extending rail slightly bent but serviceable: It blew over as I was getting pegs in, I won't repeat the cussing...

Below is dodgy zipper door, does work but sticks we just don't use it.

Main shot:
We have slept out in awning very comfortable,
also have inner tent for it plus curtains.

Not such a good view but you get the general idea.
I am Near Bexleyheath in Kent
Regards Iain

We've got a khyam motordome sleeper and it's mint.  Very easy to put up and extremely useable.

However, a couple of mates have the small and large vango airbeem and it's a very capable bit of kit.  very stable in the wind too because there are no poles to stress.

I prefer our though Khyam though because the vango has an integrated ground sheet which makes it difficult to keep clean with our kids who have a pathological aversion to taking their muddy shoes/boots/flipflops/crocs etc off before them come in.  LOL

Back in the slow lane, yeah!
