What effect does going from the stock 185/14 to a 225/65/16 have on load rating?
I'm trying to find a good tire for 8" merc pentas but load rated tires are 225/75/16 and that will contact the arches (I am told) and I don't want to lower the load rating too much from the typical tire. This is all a bit confusing |

None. The load rating relates to the required ability of the tyre to carry the weight of the vehicle. ie, doesn't matter what size tyre you fit, the load rating should remain what's been specified for that application, ie the same (or more) |
