Hello VW friends!
I have just brought Mercedes CL600 AMG Barbus wheels to fit to my 1986 T3. The wheels are 18" x 8" front and 18" x 9" rear. I have also heard I may require ad extended sliding door rear hinge. Is this correct and if so does anyone know where I can locate one? Any help would be gratefully received as I want to make sure I can fit them before looking into buying tyres. Many thanks |

Don't forget its not as simple as just bolting the extended hinge on!
The vans runner channel needs to be shortened by the amount the hinge has been extended by. It'll need some cutting and welding. |

Thanks all,
I have checked out Rhoen Bull and they have a PDF showing the works. My van is currently being resprayed so I guess now is the time to complete the works. I will get onto them and get the part ordered. I was hoping I would not require the MOD but can't really take the risk, unless anyone has fitted 18" x 8" front and 18" x 9" rear with no sliding door clearance issues? |

Its all offset and tyre widtg dependant
I.doubt anyone can give an accurate answer unless they have the very same wheel and tyre combination. |
