Hi ! I am new here, but I have read a lot about fitting the passat box upside down to to a 2wd,
very interesting! so are there some experience with the passat syncro gearbox? and if it comes with some sort of diff lock Soren

I thought about it myself as I was offered a V6 diesel Audi A4 Syncro but I think the FWD output flange would be too high if upside down. As far as I know they were all Haldex type couplings in vw cars. I'm sure someone out there has tried it though (new kit idea for Tim at Ultimate?). I went for an AFN 2wd audi for the moment

hold on. quattro boes have an out-put either side and on one end. you manage to get one on a syncro you can have an expensive pto!

You'd loose the low gear and locking diff. Would make a nice t3 Quattro but not a Syncro.
I'm interested in a v6 Tdi auto Quattro set up. Now that would be nice ! Lee |
