Thanks, it was never the intension to keep modifying it, it is now a matter of necessity.

Only thing left is it won't start if battery voltage is below 136, any ideas anyone - is my starter flubbered?

Voltage when running is one 14v, is the alternator fxxk8ng my battery???

Have to say, I've now done a trouble free 500 miles on my AGG and your old DHU box that you sold to Hutch
It sits at 70mph at 2800rpm it only drips oil from the shift rod oil seal, but I've not even looked to see if it's replaceable.
Only issue is that the idler shaft bearing is a little noisy, I did put an extra ltr of oil in it, but it made little difference.
It does sit a little nose down so don't know if that has caused it to rumble or if it was like that when you had it?

I can't remember, I don't think so. 2nd was a little grabby, but that is normal for a flipped box.

A bit more testing showed my 1 year old Bosch battery dropping to 11.2v when cranking (or not), so it has been swapped today under warranty - 3rd bosch battery in 3 years.

Van now starts on first click.

Mot time now..

New ecu is phenomenal, I can now get even more power understeer!

Charge cooler seems to be doing its job too.

Fingers crossed for a trouble free summer

Bang! And ivr lost drive -again! Bollocks!

We are now stuck on the Chichester ring road awaiting recovery.

So assuming the clutch has gone again, am I using the wrong clutch plate? It's the original from the passat pd130.

Home now, just need to sus out which clutch plate to fit.

The passat one obviously can't cope with the weight of the van......

Hi chaps, new smf fitted, also made a new gearbox mount to relieve the drive shafts a little. Just got to refit the CV's and we should be good for another trip.

Also I think I may have got to the bottom of the gearbox oil issues....

When the box was out and laid flat, I drained the oil - around 4.5 litres. The official capacity is 3. It had stopped throwing it out of the vent.

Previously when I have drained it, I raised the front of the van, to level the box, but never got much out, I assumed it had gone out of the vent. So when it's been topped up to the oil bung level it has way too much oil and not enough air!

Having got everything sorted, this van now has a new owner - I am already suffering withdrawal symptoms, my garage is looking very empty!

I did take him for one last spin, he does really go like a stabbed rat! On the test drive the new owners were looking quite sceptical until I put my foot down on a hill

They have a set of Porshe wheels to go on it and may drop the suspension, which is probably a good move.

Roll on the next project, suggestions welcome.....

This looks like a possibility, not a vw and a pd conversion isn't a possibility

Anyone have a car transporter and fancy a trip to France? It's quite heavy 2500kg+

Crate of Redbull! Bloody hell!

I remember being told it was made from bull semen - I asked which wankers job was it to extract the stuff!

Thanks chap, I may be in touch.
