Loads of more photos this way - http://www.flickr.com/photos/27481730@N07/sets/72157630747679520/ Vehicle details below... Volkswagen T4 Transporter Bright yellow, including colour coded bumpers and wing mirrors Lowered suspension (not ridiculously!!! Just enough to suit the big wheels and get you under beach car-park barriers) 18" Audi A4/TT (9 spoke) style load rated alloys and Extra Load low profile tyres Tow bar fitted Fiamma double bike carrier fitted to rear barn door Short Wheel Base 2.5 litre, 5 cylinder TDi Turbo Diesel Ex AA roadside assistance vehicle 102ps horse power (higher rated for AA towing work) X reg, first registered in 2000 183,000 miles 6 months tax remaining, next disc due February 2013 MOT pass in July 2012, so proves it is structurally and mechanically sound and good for another 12 months on the road Can provide past 8 years MOT pass certificates to prove road worthiness and mileage authenticity Van was obviously meticulously maintained by the AA for it's first 4 years Since owned, I have had the van regularly maintained by my father-in-law (fully qualified fitter) Many key parts have been replaced to extend its life almost indefinitely – these vans are superbly built and the 2.5ltr engine is notorious for running for years and years Invoices and receipts will be provided to prove parts fitted over the past 3 years, including... Cam belt and pulley replaced at 171k Alternator Starter motor Radiator Replacement catalytic converter and exhaust Oil cooler New 88AH battery All oil, air and fuel filters Pads and discs just checked and cleaned up for MOT Plus the usual routine maintenance The bodywork is in good overall condition for a van of its age. A few small signs of rust here and there, which will need seeing to in time, but nothing to warrant any real concern over and as I say, just passed it’s MOT so all superficial stuff… Fantastic van to drive. Very smooth runner. Sits happily at 70mph all day on the motorway. It accelerates quickly and can go much faster if you want it to (which I never have, but always reassuring to have at your disposal) Professionally converted to a campervan by mechanic at Bath Motors Fully lined, corrugated foil insulated and grey carpeted interior Light grey fabric headlining with 3 strip lights fitted Grey speckled ply units including 2 large size cupboards, wardrobe and 2 smaller cupboards to the rear Rock and roll bed easily folded to a bench seat with 3 comfortable navy blue covered cushions forming a mattress Enough storage (with waterproof lino flooring) under bed to carry loads of surf/beach/biking/kids stuff, nicely out the way but really easy to access. Limousine tinted privacy glass in the rear living area of the van Navy blue curtains on rails with velcro tie backs across all windows to the rear sleeping area Carbon monoxide detector Pioneer head unit with built in Parrot bluetooth hands free and front USB port for playing/recharging your ipod/iphone Alpine mini sub woofer with integral amp under drivers seat Passenger seat fitted with slim line (non rattling!!!) 360 degree swivel base Silver screens with suction caps included for free for the windscreen, driver and passenger windows to keep the heat in at night and heat out during the day Asking for £6,000 (had quite a number of £5k offers already) Located on the outskirts of Bristol, 10 mins from the nearest motorway junction. More than happy for genuine buyers to come and have a good look around. You won’t be disappointed! ***NOW SOLD*** Edited by Zerograv80 - 27 Jul 12 at 21:38 |
