It's a 2.1 isn't it?
Well in your other thread you mention getting the original 2.1 rebuilt?

well yes it is - but i have a mechanic suggesting the SA were different to the australian ... perhaps etc ... i was led to believe it was wbx4 2.1i with DJ engine code - but how do i confirm this?

Look through the rear inspection hatch where the oil filler is.
Look straight forward towards the top right of the crank pulley and there's a flat face on the engine where the engine number should be stamped.

Thanks Steve,

Mission accomplished: DJ001444*

Do you have any idea if the SA DJ code engines are significantly different to other 2.1 engines?

Cheers

They should be the same if labelled as a DJ.
Click on the brick-yard logo top left, then Information and then T3.

There's an engine data guide in there.
