Hi
i'm thinking about which wheels to go on my vanagon
have a choice of 7 (front) and 9 (back) d90's
or 7 front and 8 back zender turbo's (you know 'em?) and these are 5x112
both are 16" diameter
so i was wondering what tyre size would be best to retain a similar rolling radius to the orig carat aloys with (i think) 80 series rubber?
was working on the basis of 225/50.......maybe 235/50 on the back if i use the d90's
would this be alright? or is 55, or even 60 series a better bet?

Scroll to bottom of this info page, tyre size calculator lets you work out what size tyres, to keep within a realistic size from original, so your gearing isn`t all to c0ck

i use 7x16 merc rims on my bus & have 225/70/16 rear & 205/55/16 fronts & they ride well 7 steering is'nt too heavy!
i'd defo like to get some 225/80/16 tyres on the back it just depends on clearance with the rear swingarms, maybe 215/80/16
