Leisure battery sizes that fit (DOES NOT NEED specific LB type, just standard batts as fitted by factory)

also available on Ebay from the same people, the shop is in Rochdale if you want to pick up Smile

If you order on the Alpha Batteries online shop (or visit the actual shop in Rochdale) then TELL THEM YOU`RE A brick-yard FORUM MEMBER, the VERY helpful gaffer in there has offered an extra 5% discount off batteries to Brickies Thumbs Up  If you order online then there currently isn`t any way of adding a discount code, so EMAIL then straight away and tell them you`ve ordered whatever in their online shop and you are claiming the 5% brick-yard discount, they will manually sort the payment and you`ll get your discount Smile

If you go to collect in person from their shop in Rochdale, they`ll give you 10% off the online prices (reduces the cost of delivery see Wink) and another £1.50 off if you take them your old battery.  Smile

How much 'better' is a 80Ah battery over a 60Ah?
Are all T3 leisure batteries mounted under the front left seat? My bus isn't here at the moment, so can anyone tell me the biggest physical size battery to fit?
Thanks

Hi,

I went to Alpha Batteries and they still have the battery to fit T3's but only offer the 5% off for deliveries and the usual 10% off for picking up the battery yourself. They don't give the combined 15% off anymore.

Regards

www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/leisure-batteries/90-ah-ultra-plus-low-height-leisure-battery/

this is the 90 amp LB back in stock, was unavailable for a while. Height is a squeeze, you MUST make sure the tops of the terminals can't short on the battery box lids

I know this is an old thread but its always worth checking the specs on Alpha Batteries as they are often exaggerated by using the much less used 100 hour discharge scale (almost all other manufacturers use the 20 hour scale)
In short: Alpha's amp hour ratings are not always what they seem.
Their 90ah leisure is actually an 80ah when measured normally...I think they have now cottoned on to the fact that this is unfair advertising practice so they just hide it in the specification page so it is missed or not understood unless you know what you are looking for.
Their 100ah is something like an 85ah..so on and so forth..just be aware of what you are actually buying.
Put it this way...why is it that an almost unknown company can manufacture a battery that has such a high rating in such a small battery case? whilst other major manufactures like Bosch/Varta/Exide rate their similar sized batteries around 20% less....
