Hi all.
I have a LT35 2.5TDI, (2000), that would not start.
The pre-heat dash light did not light when the ignition was turned on.
The AA tech could find no power to the diesel solenoid but could not find the cause.
He did say that it could be a hidden fuse, or a problem with a relay.
At the moment he has put a temp fused wire from the battery to the solenoid and everything works fine.
Does anyone know if there is a hidden fuse, relay or any other item that may need looking at.

it'll be the diesel pump solenoid mate. unfortunately i dont know much about new LT's, but my first guess would be a dodgy ignition switch!?

i have run other diesel vans solenoid directly from the ignition switch with a new wire before though, when i had a break in the origional wiring and couldnt be bothered to sort it out.

Hi all.
Thank you for your input.
I took the van to my local VW dealer, as I could not be without it.
On test they were unable to communicate to the ECU due to no voltage.
Eventually found a break in the wire and renewed between ECU and relay.

They also renewed the throttle pedal as it was broken.

If only it didn't cost me £208!!!! OuchConfused.

Anyway thanks again
