A JX head would probably fit okWink.
What's wrong with the head you've got?

haha! its cracked between all the valves, plus another small crack from one valve toward the injector hole.
The van still ran ok, I was only doing the exhaust  when I saw that the exhaust face needed machining so took the head off for that and found it was cracked. Oh and i had a pitted piston too.

You`ll be lucky to find a decent JX head unless you get a new or re-conned one, you can buy a new bare non-VW head from a few places, worth a Google. Just transfer your good bits into the bare head, grind the valves in etc. Cracking is common due to overheating.
