Hi all,
this morning i offered up the newly brought Merc alloys on the front (speedo side) ET30 with a 6mm spacer on and yes you have guessed it the grease cap & speedo cable-end are sitting proud and the wheel centre cap wont fit on. So i cut 10mm off of the grease cap and then found it wont fit back on because it is touching the end of the stub axle, so what i would like to do is go up to a 9mm spacer remove the speedo cable and take off 3mm from the end of the stub axle and spindle nut, re-fit the cable and then take off 2 to 3mm from the end of it . This will of course still leave the slot for the circlip, by my reckoning it should work and the centre cap should fit.
has anyone tried this before
