Apologies if this is a stupid question, but my passenger side door lock button pops back up when you close the door, which I assume it always has done.

Is there anyway of changing this so that you can lock the door in the usual way?

try holding the door catch when you close the door with the button down, this is how mine locks.

Just be careful on the drivers door unless u got your spares!!.
Might be a door switch to prevent this, if I find it I'll let you know.

Cheers

just to add my twopence, all VWs from the 70s and 80s had that function on the

left hand side of a vehicle, so the driver of a LHD when getting out didnt accidentally

push the button down and lock his keys in the motor.

just us RHD drivers never got the option.
