Has anyone got the VW Speedshop exhaust system on their WBX ? If so which oil filter do you use as i'm told the standard Mann filter fouls the header also has anyone got any pics of the system fitted

Cheers

Paul

There's some pics on club80-90, do a search on 'Stainless Exhaust'.
If you've got a factory oil cooler, I think you'll need to run a filter off a polo, which is shorter - various opinions exist on wheather this is a good idea or not.

I think Brickwerks have a stainless wbx exhuast in the pipe-line (Pardon the pun) so you might be best off waiting for that unless you're in desparate need

I saw Baxters big bore stainless back box fitted to his "factory" 1.9 TD today, and it is a thing of beauty!

I have the VW speedshop item fitted to my 1.9
fit is excellent (comes with full fitting kit)
quality is good
sounds a bit sporty but not in your face loud
replacement for a ten year old JP stainless system (to thin to repair kept cracking in different places)
makes the engine rev better in the upper part of the rev range (typical 4 into 1)
now done 1000 miles on it
very happyBig%20smile

The speedshop one looks easier to fit but does it only use one of the rear clamps to hold the box in place? as the box looks a lot shorter

Anyone fitted the Boxer shop Zorst that Eastfalia is selling
Looks a serious piece of kit
Looks better than the VW speed shop / turbo thomas ones

I understand Baxter has a new 2.1 zorst for sale
seen no pics or details

Yes, I have this system fitted to my T3 1991, Sycro. I love it, but my boxes are steel, not stainless and one is rotten after 6 years. I'm looking for a replacement. A serious system with a very nice voice, not too much, but serious enough to shadow any competition.
