Does anybody have 15" steel wheels fitted to a 1.6 TD?
I'd like to increase the total diameter a bit. How much is ok. the revs should come down a bit in 5th. is it a good idea? |

Very glad to find your site - on for the first time tonight - so hello and great
expectations. Going back to the top of this thread, I too want to increase the overall diameter of the wheel to reduce the revs a bit in fourth (new four speed box just fitted, so seems a shame and very expensive to swap it for a five). I'd be really really grateful if anyone knows how much you can take the size up on my 14" steel standard rims. I've been looking at around 5% increase from fitting 205/80 14" commercial van tyres. Thanks a lot and nice to be on. Nuub. |
