Hi Folks,

does anyone have any recommendations on the best place to source the rear silencer for my van? I'm hoping to fit it myself while i've got some time to play with...

Cheers

I have a '79 2000cc petrol lt28 - have had nightmare finding exhaust parts.  Found a guy up north who reckons he's got exhausts in a container, but have been waiting for him to look for about 5 months so don't get hopes up!  If he comes up trumps, I'll ask for yours too.  What engine/details?  If you have any luck, please let me know!

Cheers, Dingo

Hi,

mine is a 1979 2000cc petrol lt35. Any sort of lead would be really usefull! I'm wondering about how easy it would be to fit the later style, '82 onwards, rear silencer - don't know if anyone has seen one or tried it even, but they seem to be much easier to source..

Thanks for the help - i'll post on any progress

Have you considered stainless?, companies such as longlife can make up exhausts for pretty much anything.

Hi Guys,

in the end i got one through eternal parts via ebay. Its a single piece unit rather than seperate silencer and tail pipe so looked a bit odd online in the picture but it just about works..  The hangers appear to be back to front so it needed a bit of modifying to get it to hang correctly but for the money its about what i expected!
