right-o , since putting in replacement engine(1.6td from pissrat) with SB injector pump and GTD injectors i have fitted set of clean/tested injectors (cheers diviy for sorting testing)) , set cam timing 101% spot on(cheers andysimpson for tools/advice) , set pump timing 101% , set lift to 1mm (ok 0.98 and KERR did it) , fiddled with fueling today and instead of turning in screw i just tightened up the lock nut as it was quite loose and got half a turn nearly (dosnt smoke)
last but not least am looking at exhaust , what do you guys think ? run a hole cutter down it to knock discs out ? how do you do it ? was thnking of using a length of threaded bar , one end in chuck and on other end use to nuts to clamp it onto hole cutter murder tight!
worthwhile mod ? less back pressure so turdo spins up quicker as i understand it. at end of day if i wanted a sports car i would have bought one but just wanting it running spot on as vw intended (+ a bit more) cheers
