Might be a silly question but have you checked your insurance policy as i need a screen to and all i have to pay is £60 excess and Autoglass will fit one?

Fully Comp insurance should cover your windscreen anyway (usually £50/£60 excess with no loss of no claims discount. If you're TPF&T might be worth upgrading. My T5's had 2 windscreens in about 1year. Hate to think what that would have cost had the insurance not picked up the bill.

Personally I'd still claim off insurance, a cracked screen can happen at anytime. It could have happened on your journey home after picking up the van. You only speak to the Autoglass muppets not the insurance company.

Try calling around local independant companies. It usually takes me 20 minutes so stop laughing after I get quotes from the usual mainstream suspects.

I have just paid £140 to have a new screen supplied and fitted in my T4 by a firm called Crackattack in Warwick, so reasonable prices are out there!
