petrol to diesel for dummies

   Guys,

I want to swap my 1.9 watercooled petrol for a standard diesel (maybe 1.6)

so that I can creep along saving the planet and my wallet.  Am I mad? 

Anybody know of an idiot's guide to the job?  Websites?  Old mags?

	If your main concerns are th planet and your wallet, diesel is a bigger polluter than petrol and only does a few more mpg so it would take along time to pay for itself.

	If you want to go to the hassle of fitting a 1.6td then you'd be better of doing the 1.9td engine. Same kind of hassle but better power. The planets doomed anyway, there's people crawling all over it.
