New to Westies- so excuse the idiotic question. Can anyone tell me how the barbeque point works on the underslung lpg tank, and what sort of connection is needed to connect it up to a portable gas barbeque or stove? Is another regulator needed, and are there snap joints or whatever to avoid doing up and undoing jubilees?

No extra regulator is needed, you need to turn the red valve towards the direction of flow, paul emmet has just replied to a thread on the same question, he has a barbie connected up to his gas tank so he would be best to ask, i think he said it was a connector he bought from b&q

check out the may copy of camper and bus, pg 62-66 westy california buyers guide, pg 66 has the gas tank control panel. On the lh side under the orange tap is the bbq connector with a red cap on. Think its 8mm dia, just go a one from maintenance at work, lucky boy.now to find a small gas bbq. happy days.

Well thats an early tank and you can just see a red cap,not sure if its the same as what they're on about though A picture of the article is going to be pointless because you havent got an atlantic and the later ones are different |

reet, that took some effort but if anyone can explain the bits on this baby it would be appreciated.
I have located the regulator (under the black plastic), the main inlet with the US spec thread (Steve at Gasure has supplied a connector that works. The big knob turns off the supply to the van theought he pipes on the LHS. Its the "reset" type button and the knurled knob on the RHS that have me foxed along with the procedure for filling. Any help appreciated, Cheers, Paul. |
