the place: BURY ST EDMUNDS, SUFFOLK.
the time: just past noon wednesday last
me with a customer in her car driving to get some materials. just outside town we came to a roundabout when this tatty ol' t3 pulls out from our right
- man, i thort, that dudes engine is a rockin, sumfin not right there..
he was going at a snails pace then a bit slower ...
and a bit slower...
bit more...
still...
never even made it half way round.
i said to Mrs B, my customer, get past him and pull over, i gotta help him - doasyouwouldbedoneby n all that.
he was just about to hop out when i ran over and dug my shoulder into the back of his van. he called back his appreciation.
luckily ive never had a breakdown, shit these vans are heavy, i thort as me quads strained away.
got him moving anyway and we rolled with a bump up the curb some way down from the roundabout and just past Mrs B's car.
i regained my composure as he hopped out of the cab and offered me his hand to shake, i automatically stuck my right hand out then realised he'd offered me his left and ....
dude only had one arm....
only his left one...
how the feck was he driving that van with one arm
i looked in the cab - manual gears with no mods!!
yowser.
i dont know about you lot but i only steer with my knees when i'm eating a sloppy Ginsters, or blowing my nose.
anyways, turns out engine had a dropped valve
but he was selling van that night to a bloke coming down from yorkshire.
anyone on here? anybody?anybody?
gaffer taped rear arches, blue, hightop, a/c, very oily engine (lid was off, could see through rear screen).
well thats my t3 yarn for today....
