I have deleted this post because when I try to edit it, bits disappear.  PM me if you want any details.

Edit ;-) I have now made an updated version as a manual with extra pics and more detail.  If anyone wants this file let me know.  Smile

I haven't ever done mine, so cannot offer an informed opinion.  Looks like it is very useful info for anyone inclined to have go though Thumbs Up

I think you've done well, and it's a good description. I would add a warning not to loosen or undo
the alternator bracket from the alternator, otherwise the critical alignment you mentioned will be
upset. I will stick to service position or front off though, to keep skin and sanity Smile

Thanks Stryne.  I was going to mention that but I think it must be nearly impossible to do with the alternator up there!  No skin lost if you take the PAS pump off.  Try it once and you'll never want to undo all those screws again!

Got mine apart just now trying to do it but the bolt holding the pulley on is well tight
I've got the aircon pump off in an attempt to remove the pulley, my aircon needed recharging anyway.

God whispers in our soul & speaks to our heart. When we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick.
It's our choice: Listen to the whisper or wait for the brick!

If you've got the compressor right off you could ask a local garage to undo it for you with an impact gun.

Interest reading.

A word of caution, the compressor metal ends on the hoses are aluminium and very fragile, if stressed crack releasing the air con charge.

Great to see a good write up.

Just realized I won't be in a position to send it for a couple of weeks. If you need it before then I'm sure someone above will forward it on to you.
