Hey folks, got a 1995 LT 35 with a box van build. Bought it in Netherlands and registered it there as I was living there at the time.

Long story short I'm thinking about importing it to the UK but im not sure how it'll work out with insuring a left-hand-driver. Does anyone have experience with this? Will it cost more? Can anyone recommend insurance providers?

Thanks

There are lots of Florida/Sven/Karmann, and others, drivers in the UK; I doubt there will be a problem with mainstream insurers but I chose 2Gether for my right-hand drive.

I've not had any problems insuring my Florida but you will find that most of the comparison sites don't have these LT variants on their drop down menu's for model name.
I have used Peter Taylor for years, good quotes and they use well known insurance companies!

Thanks for the info.

Still got it registered as Dutch but I guess once Brexit kicks in I might have to change it.

No problem insuring a lhd vehicle in the UK. Shouldn't be any more cost involved either. Lots of insurers won't touch old LT's. Depends on whether you've registered as a camper / motorhome or van on the type of policy you can get too. Shop around.

I’ve always used Adrian Flux and found them to be competitive. I challenged their quote this year as it has gone up by £34 and they agreed to match last years premium .
