Hi,

I have to cut out and weld in a new section of the windscreen edge. I'm guessing I will need to remove the dash so any advice on doing that? How big a job is it please?

Thanks,

Rod

Download the haynes manual, should give you an idea.
You might just be able to protect the dash and save the time.

Hi, if you want a hardback manual try here it only covers the 2.0 and 2.4 petrol engines not the 2.4 diesel but is very useful for everything else (body, running gear, axles, brakes, etc).

That seems to go up to 87. Mines a 96. How different will it be?

If yours is a Mk1 (one of the last Mk1s) then it'll be very useful as virtually nothing changed other than engines throughout the run of the Mk1, I think the manuals only go up to '87 because that's when Haynes stopped printing the manual for the Mk1 as the model was 11 years old by then.

This is what Andy T means free download you only need to buy the book if you actually want a hard copy, and if your LT is the same shape as the picture on the book then it's a Mk1.

I am. Even if I'm not any further forward :-)

The Haynes might be worth a look though. It's the sort of thing they would cover.

Hi ,

I did look at WORKSHOP MANUALS but as far as I could see, none of the links worked. With the greatest of respect for the fine job you Admins do, I did look.

I'm not a restoration newbie - albeit it was a Classic Mini - so I do a search before asking questions. I just cant find what I want.

(Genuinely) thanks for your help in trying to point me in the right direction.
