Hi all.
Hopefully someone can give me a bit of advice. I have a slight weep in the prop shaft seal at the back of the gearbox that I’m going to change. The intermediate bearing has a bit of play so I want to change that too. What is the best way to get the prop shaft out to do this? Or is there only one way, unattaching it from the diff and undoing the 2 bolts that hold up the shaft bearing. Thanks in advance for any advice. Ciaran |

The only way is the way you guessed.
The bolts in the differential flange are awkward. I needed to fabricate a six-point shallow socket with a long lever.
