My Westy tap has finally expired with the 'arm' breaking off (courtesy of the wife!) but as the performance output wasn't that great anyway i am loathe to part with £60+ just to replace it with like for like performance just to keep originality.
I have renewed the 12v Whale pump last year with no improvement but my previous westy with non standard comet novo( £12) fitted was really good. Have i just a bad tap or are they all like this?

They are pretty crap TBH, I'm on my second..the new replacement from Gunzl leaked from its joint (two halves glued together) and had to be prized apart and re-glued from new. You can buy just the tap, you don't have to get the whole lot...much cheaper but then ordering from Germany will double the cost because of delivery.
I've removed the fine gauze filter out of mine for better performance. Martin
