I know the £eeling... I did the same after fitting a pair of new tyres (which I had in stock), only to find Kumho no longer supplied the tyre in my size anymore so had to buy another pair of 225 45 17 and a cost of £220! |

Top tip - when buying wheels, always double check the tyre pressure - 60psi is a bit high!!!
Thought the ride was a bit harsh!

Well, i ended up with those in the ad above
Luckily, i had longer rear studs already fitted and my current wheels use taper bolts/buts so everything went straight on! I have to admit though, the fronts were very close to the suspension! I think i had about 2mm clearance, so i got hold of some 5mm spacers this afternoon and refitted them. Here`s a (crappy) pic - Just got to get hold of some decent porsche centre caps now Edited by mike1978 - 22 Nov 14 at 20:36 |

Yep no spacers, about 5 mm clearance between the wheel rim and the front top wishbones. Had to extend the sliding door hinge with the 9's on the back though.

I`ve pm`d the guy to see what the width, offset, etc is. Cheers

Standard offset of the Carat alloy is around ET30 so I'd aim for that. Below ET20 and up above ET45 you tend to get tramlining and they feel horrible There are Cup alloys available in 5x112 pattern but are tricky to find, tend to be a lot cheaper than genuine cups though.
Heres a set quite cheap and they're in Dorset! http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74032 |

So i quite fancy some Porsche Cup wheels on my van - what sort of offset am i best looking for?
I`ll probably use some of the 25mm brickwerks adaptors - the wheels seem to come in ET 23/12 or ET 50ish - which will work best with the adaptors to keep the wheels in as much as possible? Thanks, Mike |
