It's T3 bingo time again chaps/chapesses..

  • Panel check
  • Various devons check
  • Aircooled check
  • Kombi check
  • 16" Syncro Caravelle GL Multivan check

PICKUP..  Right, that'll be the next one then..

After realising that the syncro wasn't working for me, and seeing as it had 6 months MOT left on it, it was sold.  And the hunt for a pickup commenced.

Conversations with Nugget on here revealed that his Single Cab would be up for sale after it'd had it's fresh MOT, so with cash burning a hole in the taxman's pocket, a barely charged phone and even less of a sense of direction than when I'm driving I attempted to catch a train to darkest Frome in Somerset early Saturday morning...

Well, if the van was fucked then at least I'd be able to see his house after following the build online.

Suffice to say Nugget is indeed a top chap, and I am more than happy with the pickup..
And the house he's built fucking rocks.

More Pictures you say ? Alright then..

Got in it to drive away:
Blip the remote central locking,  really?
reached to put the armrests down, nope stock seats
electric windows? Nope, wind the fuckers.
electric mirrors?  Nope, adjust them manually
(until the heady heights of 50 mph at which point they default to showing me the drop sides)

Know what?  I'm as happy as a pig in shit.  That's four things in my book that I haven't got to fix/fuck up.

Earned it's keep today taking loads to the tip, a bit of building supplies and a 2.5m long rug.  Love it.

Only problem I have found is the extreme embarrassment of having to go to the petrol station and pick up the black pump nozzle..  Great though it is, the truck seems to want a lubricant as a fuel..

Sure we can fix that though..

No...  it's staying stock..

Maybe

or Stock + Alloys..

Big thanks to Nugg, top chap, top self-built house..

So stock steelies or alloys?

Anyone got measurements for the stock wooden batterns that sit in the recesses of the load bed? Or pics?

You've defected to the oily side!

Have you only bought it to carry all the rotten panels from the stinko to the scrappy.

Odd sort of mid-life this.

Too posh for diesels enh?

The only type of fuel to use if you want man power and not lady power.

You want anything with a bit of torque and strength Diesel the way. Just look at the Deltic's we discussed the other week! Wish they made mini Deltics that fitted VW's, that would be lovely!

Proper Job!
