Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd say hello. Not quite sure why I've never been on here before, mainly been on 80 90 so far.
Really fancying the idea of an Audi V6 in my 1.7d van, so already started trawling previous threads - what a minefield! Don't want anything outrageous, just a nice, smooth, torquey V6 that one day will cruise me across to the other side of Europe.
Although I'm fairly competent at maintaining my cars, this is probably too big a commitment, so thinking of putting in in with an expert for a conversion - the big questions are how much, how long and what engine/box.
Cheers, Jamie

how do chap. welcome to the yard!!
pint of night nurse for me!! not a cheap conversion as you would be best off buying a running vehicle to ensure it all works. the gearbox will be a weak link, matt fits 996 6 speed boxes. again not a cheap item.

Doh! Joining not my forte I'm afraid...! haha. Drinks all round then :) I'll do some more research before contacting Matt, thank you. Want to make sure I'm confident I know what I'm looking at and all the available options first. I have an old S4 which I had considered breaking and was fast becoming a donor...which I believe matt has done! But that would be silly!
