2.0 pd is not a great engine at all, although they do keep us busy, main problems are all head related, Internal cracks, Injectors weraing in heads, cam wear, cam followers breaking up the list goes on, but then again i only see the broken ones and its a very popular engine, also i should add our 2.0pd touran has now done 150,000 miles and has been fantastic.
As for the tiptonic the donor car we used came with a tiptronic gearbox, but it was wrong engine code, also we are building this van for performance and i find he tiptronic box a tad lazy, we hope to have it done for Bug Jam, the majority is traight foward its the box the is slowing us up at the moment |

Hi
How did this work out in the end. I'm planning on similar conversion using a good v6 tdi ake which has new cams and engine breather and mating it up to the Subaru boxer diesel 6 speed box using subarugears reverse pinion kit. My only issues are a 6 speed gearstick and clutch. Any thoughts links etc appreciated
