Any one know of any. Just got a cheap rado and body is rotten. Just toying with the idea. Only snag I can think of is ,charger  sitting to high somay mean highering the engine cover. Everything else same as fittting 2e presumably. thoughts welcome. thanks,

There was one knocking about a couple of years ago but it had a running fault so may have been broken for spares/scrapped by now?

It's basically the same method of fitting a GTi engine to a diesel bellhousing.
Naturally there's the wiring/ECU to sort as well as fitting an intercooler/charge cooler but perfectly do-able....and 160-190 reliable BHP.

Saying that it would probably be better to fit the engine as it sits in the Corrado rather than on an angle...so that would mean engine lid mods I'm afraid.

You could also fit a G60 engine with a turbo instead of the charger.....TurboVince in Bristol has done just that in his Doka....it's a bit quick as well by all accounts!

Do it!

 how very bizarre!

Have just had the same convo with DannyP in Ross about the same about 5 mins ago.

Spending me money before ive got it , dont want to go 20v as thats too easy!!

Was thinking G60 or going turbo then looking at MS but emerald might just win. Baby eaton off a mini/merc and making it fit. ive got a doka though so you could always give it to me!!!

decisions decisions, good job im skint at the mo!

I've got a G60 motor here(block, head and inlet fanimold)if it's any good to you ELVIS?

I removed it from my old MK2 Golf G60 quite a few years ago and it's sat in the back of my garage ever since so it will need a rebuild etc.

I've also got the wiring loom and ECU as well.

No rush....got to get to the back of the garage to find it anyway.

Removal wasn't due to the charger...it was removed because it needed new crank shells.
Jabba changed those for me but the engine kept locking up on No1 cylinder so out it came and in went another engine.
It'll probably want a con rod and a crank regrind as a result?

cool. no rush. it will be one of those 'as and when' type affairs that will happen in good time. with cost of superchargers would be a good basis for a turbo engine.

This gets better. HAve reciept from Jabba for charger rebuild less than 8K ago and has smaller pulley and chipped ecu with rolling road printout  saying 198 BHP. oh what to do now. Rip out my scooby and fit to my auto, change from auto to manual or just buy another van and fit it in for some proper fun.
Sorry Mr Hutch charger not for sale atm to many ideas.
Whats the best box to use or to  get built for this kind of bhp?

Thanks,

A G60 will rev to 5500 so I can't see it working with a T3 auto 'box.

A 'good' DK will handle the power.....I used to have a T3 panel van with a 204bhp 24V Cosworth motor mated to a DK 'box and that was erm entertaining to say the least!

you got a link/pics of vinces van steve?

Interested at putting on diesel bellhousing, as soon as you start looking at putting it upright as OE the might aswell 20v it.

Im guessing all/most of the front metalwork under decklid (on a van- not me doka) where the black leccy box sits has to be removed as that where the pipeork from TB to the 'charger goes.

Looked at Audi 80 TB on a PB fannymold but that would mean stoopid pipework going round front of cam belt and doing a 180' to get into back of the supercharger.

If everything in life was as simple as a volkswagen............
