got a problem with my '91 2.4d, in neutral or any gear at about 2k revs there is noticeable squeak or high pitched grinding noise coming from what i think is the gearbox/clutch.

I've thought perhaps clutch release bearing, but my mechanic reckons not. anyone had anything similar?

i'm lookin at topside of 400 for a new clutch which i'm not sure will fix it (not slipping much)

any ideas welcome Smile
