thread ressurection!!!!!!!!!!!!!as the nato kindof belongs to someone else now i'd thought i'd post up what i'm doing to make it finished! just as much for me as the new owner so he can see what i'm up to
 strip down and prep.......  prep and paint handles and hinges  clean up frame and first coat of satin black  first coat of top!  and bulkhead of frame too! try get as much done as possible before the coldness comes! |

hold on mate still more to come!.........
 painted the sides today!  and touch dry so remove the masking tape!    while waiting for the sides to dry turn my attentions to finishing the trim on the inside!   then after what feels like days cleaning all the red oxide off the bolt heads we refix the handles and hinges! (for some reason i haven't got a pic of the tail gate but thats all finished bar the lock) bar touching up the new load bed its ready to fit and wave goodbye! hopefully you guys will see it next week on the back of a matching doka with a happy new owner!

Just a final update on the old nato...
Bought some finishing egding to go around the doors, just protects the ally edge a bit a gives the sides a more defined edge... I'ts good stuff, they do a smaller one that could easily pass a T3 gutter trim etc. Also fitted a neoprene seal to all the frame legs, the doors shut with even more of a germanic clunk now!! Just need a multivan style interior light and I can start kidnapping.....     |
