Hi, you could try either RS components or rapid electronics for this part. There technical helplines are usually very helpful also.
Good luck

I can't believe they are charging £135 for that!!!!!! I would have said £13.50 was too expensive. £5 tops. Any idea as to what wattage you need? As above they will have what you need. Scooter one here http://www.nithsdale-wheelchairs.com/page/engagers_wig_wag_assy bottom of page. Edit@ found one on ebay with the price - £10 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOBILITY-SCOOTER-VARIABLE-SPEED-CONTROL-/140401100886?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Mobility_Disability_Medical_ET&hash=item20b08ec856 Edited by oldiebut goodie - 24 Jul 10 at 21:06 |

This may help also: It is imperative that the ‘pot’ is set in it’s neutral position for it to work. |

I wouldn't trust the quality of Craplin's stuff for something as critical as this.

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=RV4N502C-ND Try this one then - 5k and 2w or longer shaft http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=RV4NJ502C-ND both £7.23 + vat + del. - these are carbon track. They go up to 5w in a wirewound version - have a browse on digikey. Edited by oldiebut goodie - 25 Jul 10 at 00:55 |

Is that off the forward and reverse lever (wig wag) or is it off the seperate speed limiter? I have limited knowledge of these things, but I recently took one apart to build my boy an electric car from the bits. I am told that the "wig wag" throttle pots are unique to mobility scooters because they work over a limited range of movement in forward and reverese about the centre point. That may be why you can't find one easily. the potentiometer has a 270 degree travel, but only about 60 degrees is used for wigwag control, from full forward to full reverse.
