1985 T3 panel van, with a 3.5 ltr rover sd1 v8 fitted, for anyone who has looked into this conversion, you will know that the adapter plate and related parts are the expensive bits, thats why i bought this one complete! This conversion uses a purpose made ally bell housing, so i would presume it has the rover clutch, and still uses the rover starter alongside the block where it should be, the motor also has an lpg conversion fitted with a large tank inside the van, est capacity of around 160 ltrs. Fitted with a 4 speed box.
The van itself is a very straight van, i can't see any welding needed underneath, needs a patch under the windscreen rubber on the drivers side, and the lower front panel patching or replacing, step panels could be done, but would propably pass a test. Most of the brake pipes have been replaced by the previous owner, as have the flexi's, needs a fuel line running from tank to fuel pump, and filler neck replacing.
I bought the van for the motor and box, but need to move it on, as too many projects, might keep the audi rims, but have some merc alloys to take there place,
Van owes me £1650,open to sencible offers, just outside cambridge, m11 junction 10

Have heard it called a few things, but greed?, LOL, have decided to keep to crewies in the future,Wink
Should have put that this is a runner, it drives and stops, time and other comitments are against me on this one,
If anyone wants the shell minus the motor and box, i have the panels here to sort the rear end out and put it back to how vw intended. Likewise, the engine and box could be sold seperately.

Not as good looking as the rear end shot above Wink, think the van rear end could be a lot tidier with the right water pump/ pulley set up, these motors where used in several vehicles and have a good after market parts base, the engine cover has been raised five and a half inches.
Had a go at altering a spare gearbox mount, this would move the engine and box in a couple more inches, would need to shorten the gear change rod acordingly.
