anyone swapped an abl td for a aaz td in a t4 and have you got to drill the block for the dipstick or something, any help apprieciated

did you swap your abl for aaz did the rear mount onto the gearbox give you any trouble just doing one and having nightmare with it

Dipstick in a different place and there is another drilling on the cylinder head just above the water outlet, not too difficult to do if you can drill and tap and put a 8mm hose tail into the side of the head.

im having ptoblems with the rear engine mount the one by turbo return pipe onto gear box

yip there should be a blank on the rear of the engine block so thats the place it needs drilled ( where the t4 tube comes from )
 
 
or you can use the t4 tube in the front golf dipstick hole but you'll need the recalibrate the min max marks on the dipstick

got it in had to make some sleves up for side engin mounts but only go problem with exhurst to sort blowing on the sliding seal dam thing the one on down pipe

ahh that engine mount .. the golf has three m8 bolts to hold the engine on  , these really need drilled out to m10 and tapped

thats all sorted but that dam down pipe is another story had crow bar in today its rock solid going to slack off the two left hand 16mm bolts by air box and drive around block should find its place then i hope

are you using the golf or the t4 turbo and manifold ?? you shouldn't need the crowbar it really , something must be a miss

using golf mainfold with t4 turbo and down pipe dam thing is only slightly out of line only blows when its reved up
