Why use a botchlock when there are spare connections on the rear of the fuse box. Haven't learnt the black art of forum mind reading yet so guessing your van is 86 onwards with blade fuses, try pin G1 or G3 which go through fuse 12. |

i'm trying to install a 'pretend' alarm - a flashing red led light - any idea where the red and red n black wire should go for a dash mounting? i'm trying to work out how to find a live connection to attach it to - where? how ?(i have a multi meter.....) how do you work out how to attach to a live connection - which would need to come on when ignition/engine switched off - and go off when ignition/engine switched on??? using what kind of connection - a piggyback? if both the red wires nneed to be joined up - before they go to the bullet end of the piggyback? - whats wrong with using one of these? any comment - or instruction - would be brill - |

RED wire on LED wants to go to a red wire behind the fusebox, or maybe red/black, this is permenant live. Black wire wants to go to an ignition live, which is black, this way with the ignition off the LED will take an earth through either the diesel stop solenoid or ignition coil and make you light flash, when you turn the ign on the LED will get 12v either side and turn it off so it won't piss you off while your driving. |

Edoh, same as Baxter, permanent live to red, black to switched, i used right indicator fuse for lights left on buzzer similar setup. Baxter, i know its the gearbox, but the selector isn't meant to be smothered like that is it? a seal has gone somewhere |
