Never seen a Pemamobil in real life.  That topper doesn't look like the Pemamobil ones I've seem in other pics though.

Rare and history yes, but in this day and age it just reminds me of the other long fronted t3 monstrosity, the stahl, or what i believed to be called a Stahl, looking at it it looks very similar to the PamaMobile.

Stahl was not Pemamobil. Stahl built semi trucks with VW doublecabs, like this one:

and some "normal" busses like the red/gold one o the picture.

At the moment I have no Stahl brochure online, but some of pemamobil:

The "Stahl" is much nicer than the "Pemamobil" IMHO, especially the double cab fifth wheeler, but maybe not the rear lights... ...  It looks a bit "Gerry Anderson" somehow!  I bet that trailer is some weight though, and I wonder how it toes... ...

I'm half expecting a black motorbike/quad bike/trans am/helicopter to come out of the back of that Pemamobil.

It reminds me so much of the 80's action series (Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Airwolf) due to its black shinyness.

In a sick way I like it. Would look better on some shiny 18's
