i was talking to the sales person today from bott who do mobile racking
workshops etc.i was thinking of getting my van racked out by them.they told
me that they have to drop the tank when they are putting in there units
other wise might get a hole in tank .hope this might be helpful to any of you
conversion guys

I still cant believe that the first thing so many people do when they get a new van is drill holes in the bottom of it !!.

The amount of van floors i do work on that have corrosion around the ply floor screws is unbelievable. ( some less than 3 years old ! ).

I always " stick " the floors down using windscreen adhesive.

dont know if that helps in a crash.the only reason i say this is due to work
racking which will be heavy and has to be screwed down to floor

It's possible to secure a plywood floor using the 6 captive nuts that VW install for the load securing rings.  If you do this, it's easy to remove the ply floor if you need/want to.
