Has anyone ever fit a set of 18x11 rear wheels? I know that the spring plate would have to be trimmed and the I think that the control arm would have to be clearanced. Just curious if anyone has actually done it before?

I've had 11's on the rear with 295/30/18's and yes they fit but boy is it close!

You'll need to get the adaptor/spacing absolutley perfect so that they don't catch the arm, or spring tower but so they sit under the arch. Also if you don't have the van lowered they'll stick out.

I don't have any pics at present but might throw them on just for a pic or 2.

Thanks! I would love to see a picture or two.

I'm considering new wheels and can get the wheels I want in either 10's or 11's (8's for the front). The allure of 11's is calling me something fierce.

Here are a few just to give you an idea.

Rear wheels are 18X11 with offset of 45mm. 295/30/18's. I used a 4mm spacer straight into the adaptor which is 23mm from memory.

Front wheels are 18X8 with offset of 50mm with 225/40/18. Bolted straight onto the adaptor.

At the rear, the wheel and tyre barely fit inside the arch and I have it sat fairly low. I can't get my fingers between the tyre and arm so prob no more than 3mm clearance there and if you jack up the van (i.e. the suspension drops) then the inside of the wheel will catch on the spring tower.

You'd have to modify the spring tower in order for it to be safe for everyday use.

For what it's worth, I'd go no more than 10's. They will bolt on without body/suspension mods. I can just open my sliding door (with the 10's) without having extended the arm.

Ah, thanks for the pictures MG, those helped me make my decision.

Although I would love to do whatever it takes to tuck some 11's deep into the wheelwell so that they match the front, the reality is that I just don't have the time to rebuild the upper spring box and control arm for clearance.

Thanks again.
