Just got some guff on earths / grounds.
If you are measuring resistance between a suspect earth cable / wire and good earth, or the voltage of the supply to an ECU, then you're best off with a needle multimeter. A piercing probe is a good idea when you are testing an earth. A negative cable with a crock clip that's long enough to reach the battery earth is also a good idea. I assumed you have a reasonable level of nouse. If you have any questions bung 'em on here. I'm sure someone can answer.
