Hi All been making some extremely slow progress with the LT40 but may have a servo issue.

Not sure what the problem is for certain yet but knowing my luck it'll be the servo as

a) They're expensive

b) I can't find one, even if i could afford one

So i can check thae vaccuum line for vaccuum and assuming that's ok and i've still no braking assitance does that mean my servo's shot, and if it is is there a servo rebuild place anywhere that could repair it?

First thing, check the rubber flexible pipe between the vacuum pump and the hard plastic pipe to the servo, it has a habit of going soft and collapsing when vacuum is applied, thus not getting vacuum to the servo.

A quick check to see if the servo is working is to pump the brake pedal for 10 secs and then hold the brake pedal down and start the engine.
If there is servo assistance the brake pedal will sink, if not then as above check all rubber vacuum pipes, could perish with age etc.
