Hi Guys,

I have a VW T3 1.6 TD from 1986 that I bought a month ago.
I have a fuel leak on my injection and a lot of fuel leaking on the engine and the floor it really smells!
I don't really know if it's coming from the return hoses or the injectors.
It seems to me the hoses a really lose, I can unplug them simply by pulling gently. should it be more "attached"?
Do you have any recommendation / diagnostic steps to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Replace those little black pipes, they are leak off pipes, about £6 for a set from
A local motor factors eBay etc, check the injector pipe is fully tight too

Hi 912,

Just bought a meter of leak off pipes on Justkampers. I'll clean, replace and test that next week.
I'll post an update here

Thanks!

Just got a question. All injectors are linked with the leak off pipes.
So my understanding is that on each injector there is an input and an output leak off, right?
And the last has a pipe back to the fuel tank.

If you have any documentation on that that would be great.

thanks,

The one nearest to cam belt has a blank in it or a piece of pipe with something pushed in to blank it,then they are looped from one to the next, the last one normally returns back to the injector pump then returns back to the tank

Hey guys,

Finally changed it with better fuel hoses :

As you can see on the pictures the previous one were too wide and therefore leaked fuel.

Thanks for your help !
